about the different move fitness parks
Launched in 2018 by TriMuskoka, the MSCLE Project—short for Movement for Strength, Conditioning, and Active Lifestyles for Everyone—was conceived to embed accessible, inclusive outdoor fitness infrastructure throughout Huntsville. Built through funds raised from the TriMuskokan, Sunrise Swim for Strength, local business sponsorships, partnership with the Town of Huntsville, as well as available community grants, MSCLE’s vision has always been to create exercise parks with bodyweight circuits, instructional signage, and multipurpose trails connected to community hubs.
In 2025, building on MSCLE’s momentum, MOVE Fitness Park (meaning Motivation, Opportunity, Vitality, Everyone) opened officially at Avery Beach along the Hunters Bay Trail, on land generously donated and maintained by the Town of Huntsville. The equipment features calisthenics rigs compatible with TRX and resistance bands, a tamper-proof multi-station weight units, and all built upon a non slip rubber surface. The park also includes programming and content by local fitness professionals and health professionals aimed at users of all ages, fitness levels and levels of physical ability.
avery beach
The Avery Beach location is situated along the scenic Hunters Bay Trail, a 3.8-kilometre recreational path that has developed over two decades since its vision in the early 1990s. This trail runs along the river and Hunters Bay, connecting key spots in Huntsville and features a unique floating boardwalk with water views. The park includes two pieces of equipment offering over 50 exercises.
The Apollo Multigym delivers the functionality of indoor fitness stations outdoors, with four bodyweight stations and a Hi-Lo Pulley Station suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
The second is a calisthenics rig with bars at various heights, providing versatile exercise options and support for users with mobility challenges.
